Hello, I am Natasha, the candle maker and person behind The Gift Basket Collection. The Gift Basket Collection was an idea I came up with a couple of years ago for me to turn my hobby of candle making and my IT skills into a way to make some extra cash.

I got into candle making around 2000. After some years of perfecting my skills and selling to friends, co-workers, family, basically anybody who wanted to buy, I decided to go bigger and create a website. I incorporated other elements into my business idea, such as gift baskets (hence the name), and started work on my site.

I created the site around 2005-2006 and recently re-designed and updated the site with new functional features to provide a better web experience for my visitors. I still only sell and make candles part-time, as I have a full-time job, but the website gives me the opportunity to combine two things I enjoy doing.
